In most of my ultrasounds, he has been facing more of my back. So this decreases the chances of the external cephalic version being successful. Also I have an anterior placenta, which means the placenta is formed at the front of the uterus. So in order to turn him, the doctor would have to push through the placenta too. That creates more thickness and also could increase the risk of the placenta separating, which would cause a need for an emergency C-section. So, basically the doctor will try the external cephalic version if we want to try, but the odds are against us. Now what? We will set a date for a C-section and in the mean time, we'll keep praying that he flips on his own. If he does, then the C-section will be cancelled and we will await labor to start. Other than that, everything is going great. We will keep you posted as soon as we know the day for the C-section.
